Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Hooker County, Nebraska. Day-to-day duties: • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches Requirements: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
