Floor and wall tile fitter — City of Fredericksburg

Join our team: we are hiring a floor and wall tile fitter in City of Fredericksburg, Virginia. You will apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas; check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away; set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges; spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles; mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency; make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits. Requirements: • Familiar with porcelain, ceramic, mosaic and natural stone • Physically fit for kneeling, bending and lifting tile boxes • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
