Tile mason — Chemung County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tile mason in Chemung County, New York. The role involves: • Apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas • Make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits • Spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles • Set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges • Lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling Ideal candidate: • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) • A good eye for level, plumb and even grout lines • Skilled with a wet saw, angle grinder and manual cutter 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
