Garment presser — Fayette County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment presser in Fayette County, Iowa. You will work in a busy laundry. On the job you will handle: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
