Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Henry County, Virginia. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day to day you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand.
