Fabricator-welder — Chenango County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Chenango County, New York. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding On the job you will handle: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
