Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in City and Borough of Salford, England. You will run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
