Pipe tig welder wanted in Tallahatchie County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
