Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Williamson County, Illinois. The job is at a boiler and appliance service centre. Requirements: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion On the job you will handle: • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
