You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
