Great opportunity: we are hiring a retail butcher in Wilcox County, Alabama. You should have: • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day On a typical shift you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts.
