Marble fitter — Kent County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a marble fitter in Kent County, Rhode Island. You will work at a marble and granite workshop. Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to work in a team • 2+ years' experience working with marble, granite and natural stone • Able to read measurements, templates and cutting lists You will grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish; fill cracks, chips and open veins with colour-matched epoxy resin; lay marble tiles and slabs on floors, stairs and walls with adhesive mortar; polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound; grout the joints and wipe off the excess before it sets. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $160 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
