Core maker — Cooke County

Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Cooke County, Texas. On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
