Finishing presser wanted in City and County of Swansea

Now hiring: we are hiring a finishing presser in City and County of Swansea, Wales. The job is at a dry cleaner's. On a typical shift you will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Pay around £2,200 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
