Moulder — Scott County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a moulder in Scott County, Iowa. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
