Steel erection rigger — Robeson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Robeson County, North Carolina. You will be based at a power plant. On the job you will handle: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
