Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Pay around $3,500 per month, based on your experience.
