We are recruiting: we are hiring a furniture maker in Oscoda County, Michigan. You will work in a bespoke joinery workshop. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings You will cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge.
