Urgent requirement: we are hiring a plant operator in City of Newport News, Virginia. The job is on a pipeline and trenching crew. On the job you will handle: • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds Ideal candidate: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites Full-time, day shift.
