Removals porter — West Lothian

Great opportunity: we are hiring a removals porter in West Lothian, Scotland. You will work on a residential street loading a removal van. Ideal candidate: • Careful and methodical approach to handling customers' belongings • Able to lift and carry heavy furniture and boxes for a full shift • Good manual handling technique and awareness of health and safety On the job you will handle: • Protect doorways, banisters and floors with corner guards and floor runners • Wrap sofas, wardrobes and mattresses in protective blankets and shrink wrap • Navigate narrow staircases, lifts and tight doorways with large furniture • Disconnect and reconnect washing machines and white goods where required • Work as part of a two- or three-person crew under time pressure • Carry boxes and heavy items up and down stairs using proper lifting technique Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. We offer £2,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
