Abattoir worker • Martin County, Minnesota

Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Martin County, Minnesota. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. Day-to-day duties: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Season and marinate meat on request • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone What we are looking for: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
