Join our team: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in City of Emporia, Virginia. You will work in a residential housing project. The role involves screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish. What we are looking for: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
