Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Jefferson County, Alabama. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
