Immediate opening: concrete placer (Kano State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete placer in Kumbotso, Kano State. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Your main tasks: • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
