Join our team: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Linn County, Missouri. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances On a typical shift you will change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
