Immediate opening: we are hiring a bodywork technician in Republic County, Kansas. Day to day you will check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; strip out lights, mouldings and trims before repair; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers. Requirements: • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports Rotating shifts. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
