You should have: • Confident using diagnostic scan tools • Able to read wiring diagrams and workshop manuals The role involves: • Check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid • Replace brake pads, discs and callipers • Bleed the brake hydraulic lines and check pad wear • Road-test vehicles to confirm the repair • Carry out oil and filter changes • Replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
