Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Kittson County, Minnesota. The job is at an automobile body shop. Your main tasks: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Part-time with flexible hours.
