Estate gardener — City of Newport News

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an estate gardener in City of Newport News, Virginia. You will be based at a plant nursery. Requirements: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage The role involves: • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience.
