Fusing press operator — Chariton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Chariton County, Missouri. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine On the job you will handle: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Six days a week, one day off.
