Long-haul driver — Jefferson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a long-haul driver in Jefferson County, Iowa. The job is in a refrigerated transport fleet. You will report defects and book the unit in for servicing; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays. Ideal candidate: • Current Driver CPC qualification card • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel Full-time with occasional weekends.
