Now hiring: heat pump service technician (England)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a heat pump service technician in Staffordshire, England. You will work for a renewable heating installation company. On a typical shift you will wire the outdoor and indoor units back to the controller and isolator; pressure test the refrigerant circuit with nitrogen and check for leaks; connect flow and return pipework to the buffer tank or cylinder; hand over the system to the customer and explain the controls; pull a vacuum on the system with a vacuum pump and micron gauge; fit and wire room thermostats, zone valves and smart controls. Requirements: • Proven experience installing air source or ground source heat pumps • 18th Edition wiring regs or equivalent electrical competency • Competent brazing copper pipework and pressure testing Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
