Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in City of Lynchburg, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Day to day you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
