Relocation porter — Borough of Oldham

Join our team: we are hiring a relocation porter in Borough of Oldham, England. The job is on a residential street loading a removal van. Day to day you will operate a tail lift to load heavy or bulky items into the van; pack fragile items such as glassware and crockery into boxes with bubble wrap; report any damage or breakages to the team leader immediately; protect doorways, banisters and floors with corner guards and floor runners; disconnect and reconnect washing machines and white goods where required; carry out a walk-through inventory check before leaving each property. What we are looking for: • Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions from the crew leader • Own steel-toe boots and work gloves • Good manual handling technique and awareness of health and safety Full-time with occasional weekends.
