GMAW welder • Sullivan County, New York

Join our team: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Sullivan County, New York. The job is on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls You should have: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Willing to work shifts and overtime Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $25 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
