Now hiring: we are hiring a marble fixer in Borough of Stockport, England. You will be based in a stone processing yard. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy slabs • Knowledge of epoxy resin filling and colour matching • Willing to work at heights for facade cladding The role involves: • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Level and align slabs so joints stay tight and surfaces sit flat • Grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish • Seal natural stone against staining with impregnating sealers • Lift and handle heavy slabs safely using suction lifters and trolleys • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess before it sets £1,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
