Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Sheridan County, Montana. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE Day-to-day duties: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits.
