Great opportunity: health and safety supervisor (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Livingston County, New York. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. Your main tasks: • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Rotating shifts. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
