Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Scott County, Kansas. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Your main tasks: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Give each garment a final press before packing • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing 3+ years on the tools preferred.
