Vacancy available: GMAW welder (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Christian County, Kentucky. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. The role involves: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $24 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
