Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Wyoming County, New York. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
