On a typical shift you will solder and braze copper pipework on refrigeration units; recharge and evacuate refrigerant circuits on fridges and freezers using recovery equipment; test and replace heating elements, thermostats and thermal fuses; replace worn drum bearings, seals and belts on washing machines; carry out safe isolation of mains power before opening any casing; complete job sheets and service reports for each callout.
