We are recruiting: vertical transportation technician (Texas)

Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Crosby County, Texas. You will be based in a machine room on the rooftop. The role involves: • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Full-time with occasional weekends. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
