Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane operator in Ibiono Ibom, Akwa Ibom State. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. On a typical shift you will follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; work out the load weight and the lifting radius. Requirements: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
