Brickwork mason — Madison County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Madison County, Georgia. You will be based on a commercial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day 1+ years on the tools preferred.
