Now hiring: we are hiring a plant operator in Huron County, Ohio. You will work at a landfill site. You should have: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise Day-to-day duties: • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
