Urgent requirement: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based in customers' homes and kitchens. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches 2+ years on the tools preferred.
