Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Logan County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Logan County, Ohio. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. Ideal candidate: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment 1+ years on the tools preferred.
