Gang bricklayer — Monroe County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Monroe County, New York. On a typical shift you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Six days a week, one day off. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
