Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in City of Winchester, Virginia. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination The role involves select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
